Great for wider calf buyers!

I love these boots for my wide calves! I have Uggs and Chookas and both fit too snugly to easily fit jeans inside. But since these boots wrap and tie I am able to slide jeans in with no problem. It's not just the side opening that's helpful for wearing them this way. Overall they seem to be a more generous fit through the upper foot ankle and calf. The only downside to this is that my size 8 feet are a little small for the size 8 boots I got. But the great color fun ties and high quality sheepskin merino and outsole more than make up for it! The REAL Aussie Uggs!!!

To those saying these are a cheap substitute for real Australian uggs DO YOUR RESEARCH! These are one of the ONLY ugg boots available on the US market that are made with 100% Australian sheepskin unlike others that claim to be Australian (even including it in their brand name) but are really an American owned company who get their boots made in China and don't use 100% Australian wool products the only use a small percentage and substitute the rest with inferior blends.

These boots are not meant to be washed and the will be very snug when you first put them on as the wool takes a few days to mold around our foot. If you are planning on wearing these outside you should waterproof them. Ugg boots were originally designed to be like a slipper you wont get many self-respecting Australians wearing them outside unless they don't care what they look like the name "Ugg" comes from UGLY!

As an Australian these are the only ugg boots I would buy outside of Australia and I wouldn't be caught dead in those inferior substitutes that call themselves Australian but cost twice the price.More detail ...

looove these boots

I have these boots in the light brown and I absolutely love them!! They are sooo warm for the winter and they are really comfortable I wear them everywhere. I actually just order a pair in black. When you first put them on some of the fur will come out but I think its only excess once you wear them a few times it doesn't shed and the more you wear it the more comfortable it becomes. I would definitely recommend these boots! I take a size 9.5 but I ordered them in a 9 and they fit perfectly so I would recommend going .5 a size smaller.More detail ...

A comfortable and budget-friendly alternative

My husband bought the Bronte Lo in black for me for Christmas and I've worn them just about every day since. I also have a pair of tall Uggs which I find have less arch support than my EMUs--they're both very comfortable and provide equal warmth but I'd choose the EMUs if I was planning on walking around NYC all day.



There's really no difference in look so if that's what you're after these will save you $60+ over comparable Uggs. But remember these are suede with a wool lining whereas Uggs and the next level up for EMU the Stinger are sheepskin in and out (which is softer). To me the wool lining is soft enough to wear without socks and the suede upper is thicker and will look newer longer than the sheepskin. I like both versions but if you're on a tight budget you will definitely get your money's worth with the Bronte.



EMUs run a little big and wide and they will stretch (plus the wool will compress) within a week so by all means size down. I'm a true 8.5 ordered an 8 and they're roomy enough to fit a thick sock. Do yourself a favor and spray them with a leather/suede protector before wearing them outside to prevent water salt and mud stains.More detail ...

warm but clunky

I found these to be like glorified slippers. They are warm but rather clunky and no inner support at all. They also tend to run a bit big. I have to wear super thick socks to keep them on. Great Buy

I had a hard time finding a pair of flat boots that were a deep chocolate brown and these were exactly what I was looking for. They do run a little bit large but it is not a big deal because you will need to wear thick socks with them as the furry lining does not go down passed the ankle. These boots are fantastic and they go with everything. They look great with your jeans tucked in or under your jeans... but they are very casual and will not dress anything up. I would recommend this purchase to anyone and I always get tons of compliments on them. My only suggestion is to spray the boots with a water protectant. Cute and Cushy!

Purchased these boots for my daughter who has both Uggs and Bear Paws. Much better looking than Uggs and my daughter says they are

way cushier than either pair. I only gave them 4 Stars because she has only worn them a couple of times so far but they get stars for warmth comfort and you can't beat the price and looks when you compare them to Uggs. Order your regular size they run normal.

I just received these today but am shipping them back immediately to purchase a different style. They are very cute and I'm sure would be great--if you only want to wear them indoors as slippers! The sides are completely open all the way down to the ankle--not at all practical for the snowy winters of Vermont. Fabulous little boots

I recently purchased these in black then chocolate. I wear a 10 and purchased the black in a 10. They fit perfectly but I could quickly see that they would stretch a bit so I ordered the chocolate in a 9. They were so snug I could hardly get them on the first time but they are already stretching out to be very comfortable. I have worn these with and without socks and they are super comfy and warm either way. I have a high arch and have trouble wearing anything without good arch support and right away I noticed the nice bump at the arch when I slipped them on. I don't know what some of the other reviewers are talking about when saying they have no arch support because I find the complete opposite to be true. I bought some suede/nubuck water repellent spray for them and so far it's been working great. Let's face it when the weather is cold enough here for boots like these there is surely to be lots of snow on the ground so if I couldn't wear them in the snow that would defeat the purpose of having them. It's too soon to tell how they will hold up for the entire winter but so far so good and I am very pleased with my purchases.More detail ...

Right boot is too small

My husband bought me a pair of Emu boots for Christmas last year (style: Bronte) and I loved them. However the wool started wearing away from the heels and they are no longer comfortable to wear without socks. Let me also say that he bought me a size 7 which I normally wear and they were huge. I returned them and bought a 6 and they were fine. They have actually stretched so much that they are actually too big for me right now. Definitely order a size down. I decided to try a "better" pair of Emu boots and ordered these the "Barossa" style. I believe they are the same quality as the "stinger" style. They arrived and I loved them! Too cute! I had ordered a size 6 again but to my dismay the right boot is too small. The left boot is fine. I almost think that it may be a defect in the boot? I read reviews on another website for a different Emu boot and a woman had the same problem and exchanged them and the new pair was fine. So I will most likely exchange them for the same size again because I actually think these are the perfect boot for me. Hope this helps!More detail ...

The only Emu boot style you should buy!

I love these- the quality of these boots are superb. I have a few pairs of Uggs and Emus- they are all my favorite (depending on the day) but I absolutely love these boots. I have them in black and didn't find the dye transfer on my feet an issue.

I am a size 8.5 and find the 8 fitting just right. There is a bit of arch and heel support that Ugg Classics lack.

If choosing between these and the Emu Bronte Hi forget the Brontes and buy these instead. You definitely pay for the quality and it is worth it! I buy my 4 year old the Brontes and splurge on the good ones for myself!

Love these boots

This is my second pair of Emu boots. I could justify buying two pair because the price is so good! I was afraid these might be too clunky looking but they aren't at all bulky. They are very warm and comfortable and I can easily wear them all day. Also very warm. I would agree with all the reviewers that say to order these boots a size smaller. I wear a 9 and ordered an 8. At first they seemed a little tight but they did stretch after wearing them in the house for one night and they fit just fine now. I'm really glad I did not order them in a nine.
